ERIC REDDET

Eric Reddet was born in Marseille and attended the conservatories of Toulouse, Bordeaux, and Paris. At the age of eighteen, he became a clarinetist at the Opéra Éclaté until he started his training as a tenor at the Amsterdam Conservatory with David Wilson Johnson and Alexander Oliver. He quickly made a name for himself as a versatile tenor in the Netherlands and gradually expanded his repertoire in numerous productions.
In 2024, he sings Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana with Musiktheaterwil in Switzerland and Requiem for Peace by Frigyes Hidas with the Philharmonie Nijmegen at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam. In 2025, he will make important role debuts, first as Cavaradossi in Tosca with the Theater Baden near Vienna and subsequently as Rodolfo in La Bohème with the Weekend Opera Utrecht, where he will debut as Andrea Chénier in 2026.
In 2023, he sang Samson in Samson et Dalila with the Jenaer Philharmonie, Canio in I Pagliacci with the Weekend Opera Utrecht as well as opera concerts with De Philharmonie Symphony Orchestra at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam and the Oost-Nederlands Symfonieorkest at the Eibergen Openluchttheater. He also toured the Netherlands with the musical comedy Pavarotti meets Willy Alberti by Thijs Borsten and Kiki Jaski (Muziekplein Production).
In previous seasons, Eric Reddet could be seen as Don José in Carmen (Opera Spanga, Parkstad Eindhoven), Turiddu (Osse Opera, Opera op het Hogeland), Alfredo in La traviata (Maastricht Academic Chamber Orchestra), Luigi in Il tabarro (Opera Spanga) as well as Danilo in Die lustige Witwe and Emperor Fe-Ni-Han in Offenbach’s Ba-Ta-Clan (both Brussels Operette Theater). He also sang the title role in Gounod’s Werther as a guest artist at the Conservatorium Utrecht. During his education, he was able to gain his first experiences by singing Goro in Madama Butterfly and Monsieur Triquet in Eugene Onegin (both Dartington Festival), Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro (Longborough Festival), and Remendado in Carmen (Delft TUI).
On the concert stage, Eric Reddet sang numerous performances of Verdi’s Requiem (Promenade Orkest, Bellitoni Symfonie Orkest, Philips Symfonie Orkest), Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle (Chœur de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Toonkunstkoor Bekker), Haydn’s Vier Jahreszeiten (De Heerlense Oratorium Vereniging), Mendelssohn’s Elias (Toonkunst Zutphen) and many more. Between 2015 and 2018, he was the tenor soloist with André Rieu’s Johann Strauss Orchestra and sang over 300 concerts around the world.
As an enthusiastic Lieder singer, he and his wife, the pianist Abigail Richards, created the concert series The Macaron Project and they have already presented numerous recitals and chamber music evenings together.
