Sieglinde Feldhofer was born in Styria (Austria) where she studied at the University for Music And Performing Arts Graz. She attended master classes with Gary Magby, Romualdo Savastano and Brigitte Fassbaender, and received several awards during her studies, including the Lions Panthera Encouragement Award. She was a finalist in the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition (operetta division) in 2009, and in 2013 she was awarded the Austrian music theatre prize „Goldener Schikaneder“ for best Young Artist.
In the 2008-09 season, Sieglinde Feldhofer joined the ensemble of Oper Graz, where she has performed roles such as Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Smeraldine (Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen), Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Maria Rainer (The Sound of Music), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Schlafittchen (Das Traumfresserchen), Komtesse Stasi (Die Csárdásfürstin), Christel (Der Vogelhändler), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Franzi Steingruber (Ein Walzertraum), Gigi (Gigi), Sora (Gasparone), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Ottilie (Im weißen Rössl), Julie Jordan (Carousel), Hortense (Der Opernball), Valencienne (Die lustige Witwe), Musetta (La bohème), Maria (West Side Story), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Ciboletta (Eine Nacht in Venedig), Jadja (Polnische Hochzeit), Gänsemagd (Königskinder), Marie (Die verkaufte Braut), the title role in Dostal’s Clivia and many more.
In addition, Sieglinde Feldhofer has made regular guest appearances at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch – Mascha in Der Zarewitsch (2010), Adele in Die Fledermaus (2012), Christel in Der Vogelhändler (2017), at the Volksoper Wien – Franziska Cagliari in Wiener Blut (2011), Hortense (Helene) in Der Opernball (2017, 2018), at the Salzburger Landestheater – Adele (2012), the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen – also as Adele (2014), at the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl – leading role of Margit in Lehár’s Wo die Lerche singt (2013), Kondja Gül in Leo Fall’s Die Rose von Stambul as well as Miss Phoebe in Lehár’s Die Juxheirat (both 2016), Princess Laya in Die Blume von Hawaii (2018), and at the Theater Baden – Dolly Girot in Lehár’s rarity Frasquita (2016), Sonja in Der Zarewitsch (2017), Marzelline in Fidelio (2018), Blanka von Lossin in Lehár’s Die blaue Mazur (2019), title role in Lehár’s Eva (2021).
In 2017, she made her debut at the Opera House of National Grand Theatre in Beijing as Valencienne in Die lustige Witwe, in 2022 as Baronin Freimann at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, and in 2023 at the Staatsoperette Dresden as Jadja in Polnische Hochzeit.
In the 2023-24 season, she will make her role debuts as Angèle in Der Graf von Luxemburg at the Theater Baden and Princess Elisabeth in Schön ist die Welt at the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl. At the Oper Graz, she will return as Marie in the revival of Die verkaufte Braut and debut as Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Minka (Die Nachtigall von Gorenska) and Fürstin Jadja (Venus in Seide).
